Practical Nurse Education Assistance Program (PNEAP) Students
CNA- 7 years
"I became a CNA in 2013, After taking care of my grandmother and seeing the CNA's that were coming into her home, I knew I wanted to be a caregiver so that I could help others. Being able to be apart of this program I will be able to further my initial goal of becoming a nurse. I have started school in the past but life got in the way, where I had to stop and take care of someone else. It is now time for me to take care of myself and go after what I want and need for my life. I love to help others and this program will allow for me to do so."
CNA- 12 years
" I want to be a nurse because I am a general caring and compassionate person who has a soft spot for everyone around me. I have been a CNA for over 12 years and I have come to love and care for what I have done over the years. I want to do more to help my residents that I care for on a day to day basis, so I am going to further my education and go back to nursing school to be a nurse. I know HHCP will help me get to the next level where I can achieve my goal."
CNA- 6 years
"I became a Certified Nursing Assistant because I wanted to do something different. I was in retail all my life and my husband and I had our own business for about 6 years. The CNA class looked to be a step in a new direction. I've been a CNA for about 6 years and there is not much advancement opportunities within the position. With this LPN program, I feel I can go in a new direction and the financial assistance is a definite plus for me. I enjoy helping our residents now and hope to be able to do more."
CNA- 5 Years
"I've been a CNA for 5 years. I would like to further my education in the nursing field because I feel like I have more to offer. I like my job a lot, my residents, my work friends, and the facility. I like to help people. I started helping my mother with my grandfather at a young age"
CNA- 12 years
"I have been a CNA for 12 years. I would like to become a nurse because I am naturally a nurturing person. I am also a mother of two and I would like to be able to provide for them better financially. They are close to finishing school and college will be coming up"
CNA- 18 years
"*I want to finish what I started* My reason for doing this program is simple. I LOVE PEOPLE. I want to be able to complete this program and give back. I have the chance to do school and work around my schedule. It's really hard to find a job that will help with reaching your goals. I'm really excited about finishing what I started years ago"
"I have been a CNA for 4 years. Providing care for my mother, uncle, and grandfather until they died led me to seek training to being my career in the healthcare field. I am interested in becoming a Registered Nurse, so I feel that Honor Health Career Programs will be quite beneficial in helping me with that. Along with support, and other recourse I will be able to attain my goal."
CNA- 2 years
"I have been a CNA for two years and as much as I like my position, I would love to work towards my goal of becoming a nurse. I am very compassionate about caring for people and I get a huge sense of gratitude when I know I have contributed to the well-being of others. This is why I would like to be a nurse"
CNA- 6 years
"I've been a CNA a total of 6 years. I enjoy what I do, I get to help my "grandaddy" as I like to call some of my residents. But I would like to do more. Learn more skills and be hands on in a different way as a nurse"
CNA- 13 1/2 years
"I have been a CNA for 13 1/2 years.I've always wanted to become a nurse, but it was hard being a single parent. I want to become a nurse now, because all of my children have finished school. I'm in a better situation and have matured. I want to make a difference and provide the best care I can in people's lives. This program will be more convenient for me since it is a small group."
CNA- 12 years
"I have been a CNA for 12 years. I love it. I love the staff, the residents, and the families. It makes my job easy. I have always wanted to further my education but having children at an early age I always put my career on hold. I am finally at a spot in my life I can work on me. I want to be an LPN because I love helping people. I have a caring heart and furthering my education can help me do that. Nursing is all I know how to do and I look forward to learning more about it. I believe this program can help me achieve this. I can work from home and still make time for my job and family. Also, I will have an awesome support system doing the program with me. I am looking forward to the day that my badge will have my name on it and behind it will have LPN."
CNA- 1 year, 5 months
" I have been a CNA for a year and five months. I didn't realize I would have so much passion and love for the job I have now. I want to become an LPN because I love working with people and coming into work everyday to help them, provide a place of comfort, and to know I am making a difference in not one but a lot of lives. I knew I wanted to go a step further but it really wasn't until COVID that I saw how much the residents need us. COVID has been a rough time. I want to learn more and have more knowledge so I will be able to know and to help them as a nurse and not just a CNA. This program will help me become a better nurse, and person so I can help others around me.
CNA- 5 Years
"What encouraged me to become a CNA was that I love to care for people. I love to help those who can't do things for themselves. My grandmother became ill and wasn't able to take care of herself. I stepped in and took care of her until the end. I loved the way it made me feel like I made a difference in her life. I think Honor Health Career Programs is good for those who want a better career and want to move forward."
CNA- 2 years
"I would like to be a nurse because I have been a CNA for over two years. I would like to further my career to show my daughters it can be done despite the struggles you'll face in life. I would like to eventually get to FNP, but if I only get to LPN or RN at least my girls will see that I tried for them and goals are possible."
"I would like to be a nurse because there is a great need in the industry today. I decided to become a nurse in the year of 2001. What motivated me was having to take care of my grandmother so I knew alot of how to be a caregiver before I was a CNA. I know that I can offer a lot to the industry as a nurse. I am always avalaible to help anyone in need."
CNA- 15 years
"I want to become a nurse to better the lives of myself and my family. I have a general love for my patients I want to push myself to my full potential in what I know I can do and what God has in store through me with others. "
